It is not uncommon to experience some anxiety just living life from day to day. Whether it be fear of public speaking or starting a new path to pursue your dreams, anxiety and worry may come into play.
The Holy Bible talks about anxiety and worry and provides instruction. The Holy Bible states in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." God wants us to come to him with the care of our problems and find relief. This does not mean that we cast our responsibilities on God, We still take care of our responsibilities, but cast the worry and anxiety on God.
Coping Skills for Anxiety and Worry
One coping skill for anxiety and worry is to cast your care on the Lord and leave it with Him. Also joining a church group that involves tasks you are interested in can help. Getting involved with others and talking to people who have similar interest can help get your mind off of your problems.
Becoming A Christian
The Bible provides instruction to life's most common and challenging situations. If you are not a Christian and would like to become a Christian, here is what to do. That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10.
First, you can pray this prayer:
Father God please forgive me of all my sins. I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I forgive others and ask you to help me to forgive those who have wronged me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Secondly search for a Bible believing church that you can visit on a regular basis.
I listen to this broadcast a lot to help me keep on track. The web address is fthcm.org
I also attend church regularly and it has helped me.
